Aaron K LeFebvre, Ph.D., NRCC-TC, D-ABC graduated from Misericordia University, (Dallas, PA) in 2000 with a B.S. degree in Biology and obtained his Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from LSUHSC-Shreveport (Shreveport, LA) in 2006. His professional experience includes Chief Scientific Officer of Gensys Group (Dallas, TX), Director of Research and Development at Next Health (Dallas TX), and Associate Laboratory Director, R&D/Forensics at Cellmark Forensics (Dallas, TX). His experience includes extensive oversight of laboratories conducting clinical testing including in the areas of forensic human DNA testing, clinical toxicology, clinical chemistry, and pharmacogenomics. He is proficient in high-throughput forensic DNA testing, process development, and clinical toxicology testing.
Dr. LeFebvre is a certified Toxicological Chemist and a member of the National Registry of Certified Chemists (NRCC-TC), a Diplomat of the American Board of Criminalistics (D-ABC), and a member of the American Association of Advancement of Science (AAAS) and American Chemical Society (ACS). He has published in such journals as the Journal of Biological Chemistry, Forensic Science International: Genetics, Journal of Forensic Investigation, Journal of Forensic Sciences and Criminal Investigation, and Molecular Genetics and Genomics.
Dr. LeFebvre has extensive experience in implementing high-throughput automation in clinical labs, including those that perform urine drug screening and LC-MS/MS confirmation, clinical chemistry, pharmacogenetic testing and forensic DNA databanking.
